The ICAR - National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources (NBAIR), Bengaluru invites applications from eligible candidates under the scheme ‘Network project on Insect Bioinformatics’ under ‘Centre for Agricultural Bioinformatics’ (CABin) on purely contractual basis up to March 31, 2017.

Position and vacancies:

• Research Associates – 3 posts (Bioinformatics – 2; Biotechnology – 1)
• Young Professionals – 2 posts (Computer Applications –1; Entomology – 1)

Eligibility and qualifications:

• Research Associates – Ph.D./  M.Sc. in Bioinformatics; Candidates with M.Sc. qualification should have first division or 60% marks, three years experience and published papers in the field
• Research Associates – Ph.D./  M.Sc. in Biotechnology; Candidates with M.Sc. qualification should have first division or 60% marks, three years experience and published papers in the field
• Young Professionals – Masters in Computer application; Masters in Computer applications with first division or 60% marks; Preference will be given to those who have experience in insect related work
• Young Professionals – Masters in Entomology/ Zoology with specialization in Entomolgy; Masters in Computer applications with first division or 60% marks

Pay:

• Research Associates – Rs. 24000 + 30% HRA; with MSc - Rs. 23000 + 30% HRA
• Young Professionals – Rs.25000 p.m. (consolidated)
