The
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India
examination, the score of which is used for admissions to post-graduate
engineering programmes in Indian Universities and higher education Institutes.
Further, the GATE score is now used as one of the short-listing criterion by
public sector companies in India for the recruitment of Graduate
Engineers.
Eligibility: Candidates should hold
a B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./Integrated M.E./Integrated M.Tech./MCA/Masters in any
branch of Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Applications.
How to apply:
- Candidates can apply via online mode only http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate2014/applyonline.php
- Upload the scanned copy of your photograph, signature and supporting documents.
- Make application fee payment through net banking or through challan at any branch of the Syndicate Bank or State Bank of India.
- The application fee is Rs.1500 for Male - General/OBC-NC candidates, Rs.750 for Female candidates, Rs.1500 for Other - General/OBC-NC candidates and Rs.750 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- The printed application form along with the requisite documents must be mailed by Speed Post or Registered Post to the Zonal Office.
