The
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites candidates to apply for the
Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2013 including the SSC Women
(non-technical) course.
The
examination leads to admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval
Academy and Air Force Academy for the courses commencing in January 2014 and
the Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the courses commencing in April,
2014.
Vacancies: Indian Military Academy (250), Indian Naval Academy (40), Air Force Academy (32), Officers’ Training Academy (for men) (175), Officers’ Training Academy (for women) (12).
Eligibility:
- For Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy -- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
- For Indian Naval Academy – Degree in Engineering
- For Air Force Academy -- Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering
- Candidates can apply through online mode only on the website - www.upsconline.nic.in
- Candidates (except female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of `200 either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

date of CDS Examination (I), 2013 is February 17, 2013.
