Recruitment of Religious Teachers in Indian Army


The Indian Army invites applications from candidates for recruitment of Religious Teachers in the Army as Junior Commissioned Officer for RRT 71 course.

Eligibility:
  • For Pandit -- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university; Candidate must also be qualified Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi or equivalent standard or have passed BA with Sanskrit/Hindi as one of the elective (main) subjects.
  • For Maulvi -- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university; Candidate must also be qualified as Maulvi Alim in Arabic / Adib Alim in Urdu or equivalent standard or passed BA with Arabic/Urdu as one of the elective (main) subject.
  • For Padre -- Graduation from a recognized university; Candidates should have been ordained priest by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority and is still on the approved list of the local Bishop.
Age limit: Must not be below 27 years or over 34 years for civilian candidates and between 25 years to 34 years for remustered candidates as on first day of Recruitment Rally.

  • Application form should be submitted along with the required documents duly super scribed ‘Application for JCO (RT) Course No. 71’ on top outer cover  of envelope to the HQ Rtg Zone / IRO Delhi Cantt / Ladakh Scout Regtl Centre Leh / JAK LI Regtl Trg Centre Srinagar of which the individual is a permanent native / resident.
Last date for receipt of applications is January 12, 2013.

The date of written examination is February 24, 2013.
