Eligibility:
- M.Tech. (Regular) -- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Technology /Architecture or equivalent, or Master’s degree in Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics/Life Sciences or related subjects or Associate Membership in professional bodies as such as AMIE etc. as specified in the M.Tech Admission website or Degrees obtained through distance education/correspondence mode, the Departments will follow interview procedure for screening in such cases; Qualified in GATE 2012 or 2013. (Candidates graduating/graduated with B.Tech. degree from IITs with CGPA of 7.5 and above for SC/ST category and 8.0 and above for others can apply without GATE score
- M.Tech. Sponsored -- BE/ B.Tech/ AMIE with 2 years experience as on April 30, 2013 and sponsored by R & D Institutions/ Industries / Engineering Colleges approved by AICTE with full pay and allowances for 24 months; Candidates on any other Associate Membership can apply without GATE Score.
- M.Tech. (Regular) -- Application can be submitted only online on the website -- http://mtechadm.iitm.ac.in; Application fee is `100 for SC/ST/PD candidates and `200 for others (DD to be drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of ‘The Registrar, IIT Madras’ payable at Chennai).
- M.Tech. Sponsored -- Application Form and admission brochure can be downloaded from the website -- www.iitm.ac.in; Submit the duly filled in application form along with application fee of `500 for General/ OBC Candidates and `250 for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities, (DD to be drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of ‘The Registrar, IIT Madras’ payable at Chennai) to the following address -- The Deputy Registrar, Academic Section, IIT Madras, Chennai-600036.
