Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) invites applications for admission to the Ph.D., Integrated Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer & Systems Sciences commencing from August 1, 2013.
Eligibility: Graduate degree in relevant discipline for Masters and Integrated Ph.D. programs. Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline for Ph.D. program.

- Candidates can apply online at the Institute’s website - http://univ.tifr.res.in.
- Candidates applying online can make payment by Demand Draft and send the Demand Draft with their name, reference code and telephone number written behind it. Alternately, they can make online payment through internet banking or by Debit/Credit Card.
- Candidates from remote areas who do not have access to internet may apply manually by sending a request for application form (without DD) along with a self-addressed `20 stamped envelope(size-25cm x17cm) superscribed ‘GS-2013(Subject)’ to the following address - Admissions Section, NCBS, Bangalore (for Biology as subject) and University Cell , TIFR, Mumbai (for other subjects).
- The filled-in application form should then be sent along with DD and two passport size photographs (one pasted on the application and one stapled to it).
- The payment to be made while applying is `500 for online applications and `550 for manual applications. Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
- For biology as subject, the DD should be drawn on State Bank of India in favor of ‘National Centre for Biological Science’ payable at Bangalore. For other subjects, DD should be drawn on State Bank of India in favor of ‘Tata Institute of Fundamental Research’ payable at Mumbai.
Last date to apply is October 26, 2012.
Online payment link will be active upto November 2, 2012 and DDs sent by post/courier will be accepted upto November 2, 2012.
