The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi has announced admission to various graduate, post-graduate, certificate and diploma courses for the session starting in January 2013.
Candidates interested in pursuing their higher education through distance learning mode can register with the University. The IGNOU offers a host of courses at various levels for students to choose from.
Most sought after courses are the Masters in Computer Applications, Rural Development, Education, Social Work, Tourism Management, Commerce, Library and Information Science, English, Hindi, Economics, Dietetics and Food Services, Mathematics with Applications in Computer Science and Distance Education, among others.
Candidates can also enroll for Bachelor degree courses like Bachelors in Tourism Studies, Computer Applications, Library and Information Science, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Commerce, Public Administration, Economics, History, Sociology, Psychology and Political Science.
Post-graduate diploma courses are also available in such areas like Hospital and Health Management, Geriatric Medicine and HIV Medicine to name a few.
How to apply: Interested candidates can procure the Student Handbook and Prospectus from the Regional Centers, Study Centers or the Headquarters of the University on payment of `100. Fill in the application form and submit it along with the requisite course fee in the form of a Demand Draft to the concerned Regional Center.
Last date for applying is November 30, 2012 without late fees and December 20, 2012 with late fees of `200.
