JEE Advanced 2013 – Important Updates

The result of JEE Mains 2013 examination shall be declared on May 7, 2013. The top 1.5 lakh successful candidates from Jee Mains 2013 examination shall be eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced 2013 exam.

Correction of Details in JEE (Main) 2013 Application Form

The JEE Apex Board is providing an opportunity to all the registered candidates of JEE (Main) -2013 to rectify any mistakes committed by them while filling up the online application form.

All the candidates who had registered themselves for the JEE (Main) examination 2013 can visit the JEE (Main) website and check the details they had provided in the registration form. The particulars (details) can be corrected, if required, by the candidates.

JEE (Main) – 2013

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2013 is being conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions in India. JEE (Main) was earlier known as the AIEEE.

For admission to NITs, IIITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and other participating Institutions, the merit list will be prepared based on 40% weightage marks in class 12^th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks shall be considered after normalization.

The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
