National Institute of Technology, Mizoram invites applications from fresh bright B.Tech. students from the current (2014 passout) or one year prior to the current academic year (2013 passout) in appropriate branches to be appointed as ‘Trainee Teachers (TT)’ on contractual basis. Initially, all selected candidates would assist in teaching. They will also undergo part-time higher studies in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to acquire higher academic qualifications, which is a pre-requisite for faculty position at NIT Mizoram. TTs will be regularized after obtaining M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees from one of the IITs.

JEE (Main) – 2013

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2013 is being conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions in India. JEE (Main) was earlier known as the AIEEE.

For admission to NITs, IIITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and other participating Institutions, the merit list will be prepared based on 40% weightage marks in class 12^th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks shall be considered after normalization.

The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
