Recruitment of 254 Head Constables in Delhi Police - 2013

Delhi Police invites applications from Indian nationals for 254 posts of Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/ Tele-Printer Operator) and Head Constable (Ministerial).

Position and vacancies:

• Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/ Tele-Printer Operator) – 142 open posts (71-UR, 50-OBC, 17-SC, 4-ST) and 16 departmental posts (8-UR, 6-OBC, 2-SC)
• Head Constable (Ministerial) – 96 posts (48-UR, 14-OBC, 32-SC, 2-ST)

Eligibility:

• Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/ Tele-Printer Operator) – Passed 10+2 from a recognized Board with Science and Mathematics as subjects at the time of filling up the application form or National Trade Certificate (NTC) in trade of Mechanic-cum-operator Electronic Communication System; Speed in English typing on computer 30 w.p.m. along with working knowledge of computers.  
• Head Constable (Ministerial) – 12^th pass or equivalent from a recognized Board at the time of filling up the application form; Speed in English typing on computer 30 w.p.m. or speed in Hindi typing on computer 25 w.p.m.; working knowledge of accounts and office procedure.

Age limit:

• Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/ Tele-Printer Operator) – 18 to 27 years as on January 1, 2013; age concession applicable as per rules.
• Head Constable (Ministerial) – 18 to 25 years as on January 1, 2013; age concession applicable as per rules.

Salary: Pay scale of `5200-20200 in pay band 1 with grade pay of `2400 and other allowances as admissible.

• Application form can also be typed/ photocopied on A4 size paper as per the format taken from either of the above mentioned sources.
• Application fee of `100 in the form of Demand Draft/ Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of ‘DCP/ Recruitment Cell, New police Lines, Delhi’. SC/ST/ex-serviceman candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
