Call for Post Doctoral Fellowships under Cognitive Science Research Initiative with the Ministry of Science and Technology

Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology (Government of India), New Delhi invites candidates to apply for the DST-CSI-Post Doctoral Fellowships 2012-13 under Cognitive Science Research Initiative (CSI). 

The fellowship is tenable in Research Institutions/Universities/Non-profit Research and Development Institutions within India.

Eligibility: 

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Science or Engineering with research interests in Cognitive Science and a good academic record. 
• Those who have already submitted Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply.
• Such candidates who are in regular positions in Research Institutions/Universities/Non-profit Research and Development Institutions are not eligible for this fellowship.

Age limit: Below 40 years of age.

Tenure: This fellowship is tenable for a maximum period of 2 years. In exceptional cases, depending upon progress of the research, the fellowship may be extended for the third year.

Fellowship amount: `35000 p.m. and an additional annual research grant of `200,000 per year.

• The application is to be sent in duplicate.
• The envelope should be superscribed ‘PDF Proposal for Cognitive Science Research Initiative (CSI)’.
