Join BHEL as Engineer Trainees through GATE-2013

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) invites applications for the position of Engineer Trainees (ETs) in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics disciplines through GATE-2013.

Position: Engineer Trainee (ET)

Vacancies: 500 (Mechanical-300, Electrical-150, Electronics-50)

Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or 5-year integrated Master’s degree / Dual Degree program in Engineering / Technology in the disciplines of Mechanical /Electrical /Electronics Engineering or Engineering Degrees obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE in the disciplines of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech.

Age limit:
Upper age limit as on August 1, 2013 is 27 years. For candidates having 2-years full time postgraduate degree in Engineering / Management / Business Administration the upper age limit is 29 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC (NCL) candidates by 3 years.

Training and Emoluments:
During the initial one-year training, basic pay of `20600/- in the pay scale of `20600-46500 will be paid. After successful completion of training, the trainees will be absorbed as Engineers in pay scale of `24900-50500 with a basic pay of `24900. Other allowances will be payable as per Company rules.

How to apply:
  • Interested candidates are required to take the GATE-2013 examination.
  • The actual GATE marks (out of 100) shall be used for short listing of candidates for Interview.
  • Candidates have to apply online at the BHEL recruitment site http://careers.bhel.in, after obtaining the registration number for GATE-2013.
  • General and OBC candidates are required to make payment of `100 as processing fee.
Online submission of application commences in January 2013.
